He immigrated to the United States and founded Congregation Achdut Israel in 2003, and has continuously served as its Rabbi since that time.
Rabbi Terenyo is available to assist members of the community with a wide range of halachic matters, including Shabbat and Festival observance, Life Cycle and related events, and Kashrut. Additionally, Rabbi Terenyo is available to perform weddings in Israel, as well as throughout the United States.
Rabbi Terenyo is a Sofer and handles Sephardic conversions.
While Rabbi Terenyo is busy teaching and learning Torah, assisting members of the community with life-cycle events, and attending to the myriad of details associated with the operation of Achdut Israel, his wife, Rabbanit Rachel Terenyo, is likewise occupied with assisting the women of the community. Rabbi and Rabbanit Terenyo have five children.
Rabbi Terenyo has also established Achdut Israel synagogues in Panama City Beach, Florida and Houston, Texas for Israeli families to unite as a community. In February 2015 - Rosh Chodesh Adar - Rabbi Terenyo succeeded in opening the first Mikveh in Panama City Beach, Florida.
